The dream of my life, to be a published novelist, came true today when my debut novel, Maven Fairy Godmother: Through the Veil went live at MuseItUp Publishing today. The ebook is available in various formats including Kindle, and will soon be available at Amazon, Smashwords and other likely venues.
I have always loved fractured fairy tales, and I have always loved writing. Now I can share the world that my mind lives in, and I hope that you will take a look. Much of the detail is based on my life and that of my friends as we entered the early stages of middle age–which is similar in some ways to Middle Earth without the hobbits, elves, dwarves, Orlando Bloom or Viggo Mortensen. (sigh)
The CHANGE is exactly that, and it requires some re-evaluation of what has gone before, some re-ordering of priorities, and that is what has happened in my own life. Maven does not even believe that her adventure is real, but she comes to see just how real it is, and she finds her own way to deal with the challenges of her life.
That’s what I am working on for myself, finding that I can certainly deal with such minor issues as runaway princesses, trolls and elder goddesses. After all, I am one.
The short message here is BUY MY BOOK! It’s cheap, only $5.95. Take a few hours for yourself and have a laugh with Maven Fairy Godmother. I think you’ll like her. MAven’s blog is at http://mavenfairygodmother.com
